değiştirMerhaba K:Anerka, I would like to ask your advice. Do you accept that we correspond in English or in French? Thank you, Hamza Alaoui (mesaj) 14.08, 4 Aralık 2024 (UTC)
- Bonjour Hamza Alaoui,
- We can communicate in English, what's the matter? How can I help you? --anerka'ya söyleyin 17.49, 4 Aralık 2024 (UTC)
- K:Anerka, thank you for accepting. With others I have worked on the French “Maryamiyya” page, later translated into English [1] and in 3 other languages. More or less at the same time, someone wrote a Turkish page on the same subject [2]. As the English page is much more elaborate than the Turkish one, I would like to improve the latter, but not knowing Turkish, I have asked the help of a Turkish university teacher who is familiar to the subject; he created the account K:Aziz Terzioğlu and, after translating himself the English into Turkish, did his first edit here [3]. His edit was reverted for the reasons exposed at the end of the Tartisma [4]. Would you be so kind as to read those reasons and let me know what should be done to satisfy the principles of Wikipedia? Aziz Terzioğlu wrote me: “Since traditionalism as a term, and its literature, came from Western languages (especially French and English), when you translate a text, it sounds completely unfamiliar to the ears of ordinary Turkish audience, because all of those terms are not in common use in Turkish language. But this is not machine translation at all, and I have done everything by myself, and if I’m supposed to translate a text and not to rewrite it, this is the best I can do.” Your opinion would be much appreciated and I thank you for it. --Hamza Alaoui (mesaj) 16.33, 5 Aralık 2024 (UTC)
- @Anerka, if your silence means you do not wish to answer, could you please confirm your intention so that I can address my question to another administrator? Thank you, --Hamza Alaoui (mesaj) 09.26, 20 Aralık 2024 (UTC)
